Jess Rose
RYT® 200, YACEP®
Jess began practising yoga in California, embedding it into her daily life upon realising the many physical and mental benefits. Initially, Jess found that flowing, especially to music, was a valuable and expressive tool that could alter mood and energy levels, while also strengthening and releasing tension from the body. Coming from a musician's background, this made sense to her world when first delving into asana practice. But soon Jess fell in love with Ashtanga Yoga, and she loves the quiet and meditative nature of the practice. Jess continues to practice the Ashtanga method daily in the UK and has recently studied in Mysore, India, at the Sharath Yoga Centre. Now a 200hr registered yoga teacher based in Leeds, Jess's classes are influenced by Vinyasa and Ashtanga practices while also embedding yin and restorative styles. Jess has completed a vast range of yoga trainings to understand the depth and vastness that yoga holds, but most crucial to her teachings, Jess is a dedicated practitioner herself. When not on the mat, you'll find Jess in the air, as a lover first of aerial yoga and then a range of aerial skills including silks and hoop. Jess brings a mindful and compassionate approach to all of her classes, whether you want to keep your feet on the ground or fly.
