Anya Vidot
Anya was born in Moscow and originally trained as a professional ice skater before moving to the UK. She is now an accomplished fitness instructor specialising in group Pilates and Barre, bringing precision, grace, and strong body awareness from her athletic background. She began practising yoga nearly eight years ago, initially learning the foundations of asana in a group exercise setting. She soon realised that yoga extends far beyond the physical—it is an art of self‑knowledge, an exploration of how the body functions, an attunement to the rhythm of the mind, and a way of seeing and navigating all aspects of life.
During the pandemic, Anya dedicated herself to deepening her personal practice, immersing herself in the third limb of yoga and building a solid understanding of anatomy, physiology, Dharma Wheel work, and yoga philosophy. She is now a fully qualified and Yoga Alliance–registered Yoga Teacher specialising in Hatha and Yin Yoga. Hatha Yoga helps build strength, suppleness, and ease in the body by releasing tension and cultivating mindful awareness, while Yin Yoga offers a restorative experience that harmonises energetic pathways and nurtures the subtle layers of physical and emotional wellbeing.
Confident and hands‑on in her approach to adjustments, Anya is committed to helping students get the most from their practice through alignment, trust, and mindful physical awareness. In her classes, students learn to “float like a butterfly so you can sting like a bee,” developing fluidity, flexibility, joint stability, and an intelligent distribution of weight when moving dynamically. One of Anya’s greatest joys is coaching people to reach new heights—often achieving things they never believed they could. Her motto is simple yet powerful: Stronger, Fitter, Better, You.
